  1. "Open In" option from the guide into Infuse/Plex

Sometimes when I'm browsing the guide I see something that I want to watch, it would be cool if I could click on something in the guide and then be prompted to open the content in Infuse (or Plex) How I imagine it Browsing the guideCenter click on a programPop up prompt (maybe inside the remind me window)"Open In" button shown - Maybe configured in the settings to select the app (Infuse vs Plex).Switches to the app and starts playback.

+500 ms setting for audio sync isnโ€™t quite enough for me, would like to see more options up to 1 or 2 seconds for example. Thanks.

  4. Programming Block By Date or Time

If a possiblilty -- I'd like the ability to define time blocks / recurring schedules on custom channels so specific shows or movies from the collection/ playlist only air in certain windows. Example: โ€ข Fridays 8:00โ€“10:00 pm โ†’ play episodes of playlist A โ€ข Weeknights 9:00 pm โ†’ play playlist A Under the Scheduling section, add a โ€œSchedule Blocksโ€ or โ€œTime Windowsโ€ option alongside Schedule Mode / Episodes Per Block.

  5. Black screen between shows and ads

Change or give an option to change the static to a black screen when shows and ads are changing, while still retaining the static for channel changing.

  6. Loop channel guide when reaching bottom

When scrolling list of channels, when reaching the bottom of the list, allow the next "down" input to "loop" back to "channel 2" to make it easier to scroll. Sometimes you need to "go around the horn" to find the channel you want.

  7. I want my Mtv

One feature idea I wanted to suggest: Plex music videos as a source for channels. Plex already supports artist-linked music videos, and they show up on the artistโ€™s main page in both the web app and Apple TV app. The problem is that Plex barely does anything with them. Theyโ€™re kind of hidden away, and thereโ€™s very little browsing or control. As far as I understand it, Plex handles these by either: using a global music video folder, or finding them inside the artist folder structure alongside music files If the files are organized in artist-named folders, Plex links them to the artist page automatically. Beyond that, the only other practical way to browse them is to expose that same music video folder as a separate Home Videos library, which is pretty clunky since Plex doesnโ€™t really have a true music video library type or agent. What would be amazing in BunnyEarsTV would be the ability to pull those artist music videos from Plex and treat them as channel content. Iโ€™m new to the beta, so Iโ€™m not sure how much metadata youโ€™re already pulling from the Plex API, but I assume the path would be something like: pull artists identify artist-linked music videos use that data to build themed channels If the API exposes those linked videos cleanly, this could open up some really fun possibilities using your genre/tag/channel logic. For example: Yo! BunnyTV Raps7200 Seconds (a 120 Minutes-style alt/indie channel)Earbangers BallNew Wave TheaterCountry Fried TV Basically, it would let people turn Plexโ€™s mostly buried music video support into something that actually feels alive and usable like a real MTV/VH1-style cable experience, which feels totally in the spirit of what BunnyEarsTV is doing. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there because it seems like a really natural fit for the app.

  8. iPhone and iPad app

I know that you are prioritizing the Apple TV app but it would be amazing to have the app available for iPhone and iPad as well. When traveling, I donโ€™t tend to bring my Apple TV with me but I do bring these devices.

  10. Disable default channels

Once the app has gone public and those who pay for the app, that we have the option to disable the default channels in favour of our own custom channels.

  11. Actor/Director in info section

Would be cool to be able to see 2-3 actors and the director of movies in the info section. Probably not necessary for tv shows.

  12. Allow selecting multiple Plex libraries from shared servers (friends/family)

When a friend or family member shares their Plex server with you, their libraries should appear as selectable sources in Bunny Ears TV. Users should be able to enable multiple shared libraries alongside their own, so channels are built from a combined pool of content. This would be especially useful for households where one person has a large movie collection and another has a deep TV library โ€” combining them would make the channel lineup feel much more complete. The app could show a list of all available servers and libraries during setup or in settings, with toggles to include or exclude each one.

  13. Introduce "Classic TV" block programming rules, such as back-to-back episode blocks, movie trilogy marathons, and day-of-the-week themes.

The playback engine on BunnyEars is incredible, it handles immediate tune-in far better than other local streaming apps on the same Apple TV hardware. To match that premium feel, the channel generation logic would benefit from mimicking how actual television programming works. How it should work: Instead of shuffling content continuously one-by-one, the generation engine could group assets into intentional "programming blocks." For example: Series Blocks: Scheduling 2โ€“3 episodes of a single sitcom back-to-back before shifting to a different slot. Marathons: Detecting movie collections/trilogies and scheduling them sequentially. Themed Days: Assigning specific logic to certain days of the week (e.g., "Sci-Fi Fridays" or "Documentary Sundays") to tie the guide together naturally within a specific channel that still fits the overall channel theme. Why it's useful & Who benefits: For users with large libraries, it prevents "vibe whiplash." Instead of a movie immediately followed by a single random cartoon episode, it creates a structured, immersive channel-surfing experience that genuinely feels like tuning into retro cable networks.

  15. Report Playback via Plex Timeline API

It would be helpful if the Bunny Ears reported active playback sessions back to Plex so they appear properly in Plex Web Dashboard and Plex Dash. This would benefit anyone who uses Plexโ€™s server-side monitoring tools, especially people managing shared servers, checking current playback remotely, or expecting Apple TV playback to behave like other Plex clients in the dashboard. Right now, if playback is not being reported in the standard way, the session can feel invisible or incomplete from the server side. A good implementation would be for the app to send normal playback timeline/progress updates to Plex during session start, playback progress, and stop events, using the identifiers Plex expects for an active client session via the Timeline API.
